Private Psilocybin Session or Group Retreat: Which Is Right for You?
A practical guide to privacy, shared experience, preparation, integration, and cost.
Psilocybin Retreats Colorado · September 19, 2026
Choosing a format begins with how you want to receive support. Would you value dedicated space for your own questions, or would you welcome a shared experience with others? Your preferences matter, alongside individual screening, practical arrangements, and the support available.
At Psilocybin Retreats Colorado, private work and retreats both make room for preparation and integration. They offer different settings for that work. Neither format guarantees a particular experience or outcome.
Private sessions: space centered on you
A private session may appeal to you when you want individual attention, have personal material you would prefer to discuss one-on-one, or want to explore scheduling outside a fixed retreat weekend. Dates and arrangements depend on availability.
Working privately with Dr. LeTa includes two one-hour preparation sessions, your private psilocybin session, and two one-hour integration sessions. Additional preparation or integration support is available when necessary. Before committing, discuss the setting, who will be present, boundaries, and what support is included.
Private does not mean unsupported or isolated. It means that the format centers your individual intentions and needs. Explore private sessions →
Retreats: a shared setting and schedule
A retreat brings people together around a shared schedule. You may appreciate time away from ordinary responsibilities, group preparation and reflection, and practices such as qigong, tea, or somatic movement.
Group work also asks you to consider how you feel about other people being present. Ask about group size, facilitator support, quiet space, confidentiality expectations, and how much sharing is optional. Your consent and personal boundaries remain part of the conversation.
The November 6–8, 2026 Boulder retreat welcomes adults 21+ from all backgrounds, subject to individual screening and confirmation of eligibility. No healthcare or Chinese medicine experience is required. Its Friday–Sunday experience includes preparation, a facilitated psilocybin administration session, integration, Chinese medicine practices, qigong, somatic movement, community acupuncture, puerh tea, and retreat meals. The retreat welcomes up to 12 participants, with one facilitator for every four participants. Explore the November Boulder retreat →

Let your circumstances guide the choice
You do not need to choose the most expensive option to demonstrate commitment. Consider the full cost, time away, caregiving responsibilities, travel, and the support you will want afterward.
A private setting may suit someone who values individual attention. A retreat may suit someone interested in shared practice and a defined weekend away. Neither preference tells the whole story about readiness. Choosing a format and determining whether participation is appropriate are separate steps.
Five questions to bring to your call
- What would help me feel comfortable asking for support?
- How do I feel about sharing space or reflecting with a group?
- What are my boundaries around privacy, touch, and optional practices?
- What preparation, transportation, and follow-up arrangements will I need?
- What is included in the price, and what would be charged separately?
A Chinese medicine perspective
Dr. LeTa brings attention to the whole person: body awareness, emotions, daily rhythms, relationships, and environment. Preparation and integration can include reflection through the Five Elements, alongside practices discussed for your individual circumstances. Ask which complementary offerings are included in your chosen format and which are optional.
You can arrive at a discovery call with questions rather than a decision. Taking more time—or deciding not to proceed—is also a valid next step.
